Annapolis Boat Show
Here are the details about our trip to the Annapolis Boat show this year. Crew will plan to arrive in Huntington NY on Sunday October 4th for departure that afternoon as the tides through New York City dictate departure time. The plan is to sail non-stop and arrive in Annapolis MD by Wednesday night so we will be at the Show opening on Thursday. Crew will depart on Friday October 9th by the end of the day. You are welcome to see the 2nd day of the show on Friday and depart that night.
The route is a fun route through NYC, offshore along the Jersey and Delmar Coast to the entrance of the Chesapeake Bay and then up the bay. We are only offering the trip to the shop this year as we have a group wanting to charter the boat for a few days after the show.
The cost for the trip is $800 for the 5 days plus splitting running costs (food and dockage mostly). Please let me know if you would like to join us and we can make final plans.
NARC Rally Aboard a Swan
We have two swans with profesional skippers sailing in the NARC Rally this November 1st 2009 that are taking paying passengers along.
Swan 48 skippered by Hank Schmitt - This is 10th year Hank has been sailing south in the NARC Rally. Join aboard for the 1500 miles sail from Newport to Bermuda and then on to St. Maarten in the Caribbean.
Swan 57 with Murray Jacob as skipper. Murray has also been part of the Swan Program for many years and is our most popular skipper.
Spend 18 days aboard starting in Newport October 30th and staying aboard until flying home from St. Maarten November 18th. This is a full hands on learning sailing experience on the best boats built for offshore with skippers with many miles.
